Ezeiza International Airport is on the outskirts, southwest of the city. Public buses run downtown and you can pay with a SUBE card, but the ride can take about 2 hours. We recommend booking a transfer to save time and go straight to your hotel.
For sightseeing, your best bet is downtown or the Recoleta and Palermo neighborhoods, which are lively day and night. Staying downtown puts you close to many attractions and, if you book tours, hotel pickup is usually included.
Buses, the subway (subte) and trains connect the whole city, and you can pay for them with a SUBE card loaded with credit. Ride-hailing apps are also widely available and, if you'd rather relax and have everything coordinated without delays, we offer private transportation.
Mild and pleasant, with an annual average of around 18 °C (64 °F) and four distinct seasons. January and February are the hottest months, with temperatures that can reach 36 °C (97 °F), and July is the coldest, with cool days and nights that can drop close to 0 °C (32 °F).
Most domestic flights depart from Jorge Newbery Airport (Aeroparque), right in the city, which also handles some international flights. If you'd like to combine Buenos Aires with other destinations in Argentina, we'll help you plan the itinerary.
