Discover the Moconá Falls. These unique waterfalls, the only ones of their kind in the world, were formed by a geological fault that cut longitudinally across the Uruguay River. In the Guaraní language, Moconá means "the one that swallows everything."
The distance from Puerto Iguazú to Moconá is approximately 250km. During the journey, we will make several stops and have time for lunch and to enjoy the day.
Upon arrival, you can begin observing the local flora and fauna, which will leave you in silence, allowing you to appreciate the peace and beauty of nature. The Uruguay River reveals the fault line along its course, but obscures the waterfall. On the other side, the Brazilian coast is visible.
At the dock for the boat trip (payable on arrival), from the riverbank where the journey begins, all you can hear is the roar of the water. Once underway, the view is breathtaking: a three-kilometer-long canyon where the water plunges thunderously. The boat captain takes us close to the falls, and you can truly feel their power and magnitude. The trip lasts about 20 minutes. A unique experience that reflects the wonder of nature.
