The Seven Lakes Route is one of the most breathtaking routes in Argentine Patagonia. Mountains, lakes, crystal-clear rivers, and spectacular forests are the essence of this Seven Lakes Route, a 110 km stretch of National Route 40 between San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura, passing through Lanín and Nahuel Huapi National Parks.
A route where seven lakes merge into the mountainous landscape. We will take National Route 40 east, skirting the eastern end of Lake Nahuel Huapi until we reach the Limay River, the natural border between the provinces of Rio Negro and Neuquén. We will arrive at Villa La Angostura where we will make a 30-minute technical stop before beginning our journey along the Seven Lakes Route. We will travel through sections of Nahuel Huapi National Park and Lanin National Park, admiring Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Escondido, Villarino, Falkner, Machónico, and Lácar. The city of San Martín de los Andes is located on the shores of the latter.
In this town, you'll spend approximately two hours, allowing time for lunch and exploring the town center or the waterfront. The return journey will follow the same route, enjoying the sunset along the Seven Lakes Route.
