Uco Valley

We will depart for the Uco Valley region, to the departments of Tupungato and Tunuyán, traveling along the well-known productive corridor that allows us to see the different fruit plantations and vineyards that give rise to the famous high-altitude wines, visiting a high-end winery located at the foot of the majestic Andes Mountains, learning about the different processes and styles of making internationally awarded wines.

Along the banks of the Arroyo Grande, we find the Glorious Renunciation monument (popularly known as Manzano Histórico), a work by Luis Perlotti inaugurated in 1950, commemorating the return to the homeland of General San Martín at the end of the liberation campaign in 1823. This unique work shows the hero on a mule and dressed as a gaucho.

At the end of our walk, we made the ascent to the Cristo Rey viewpoint and monument, where we appreciated the imposing Portillo mountain range and the Tupungato Volcano.

We will make a stop for lunch; the cost of lunch is not included.
